So this is making sure that you are talking with them on a regular basis and listening to what they have to say, giving them a channel and an opportunity to interact with you and the company's way of being as regularly as they want to. Making them feel that they're listened, making them feel engaged as they possibly can. In my world, I call it active engagement. And it's not that difficult to do, but far too few companies do it, which means we have a heavily disengaged workforce in this country. So for me, it is deliberately and intentionally reaching out to your staff, wanting to know what they have to say, listening and feeding back on that information they give you.
