How can organisations ensure better diversity and equality in their workforce?

You pushed me into an interesting corner here. I'm not sure everyone will agree with me, but I think the first thing is to stop striving for the diversity and equality in the workplace and just recruit people on their abilities and on their talents and stop looking for it. Because I cannot believe in the 21st century that this is a thing. There are people from all these backgrounds who are perfectly competent, perfectly capable. And if we stop looking to be this way, it will just happen naturally. I always look at some quotes from Morgan Freeman who says, "I'm going to stop calling you a white guy, and you're going to stop calling me a black guy". And when we get through to this sort of way of thinking that we just see each other as people, no matter where we've come from and what we do, and we will judge us on our abilities, our competencies, and the way that we compliment one another. That's how we're going to fix this. Stop looking at it as an issue, and it will go away.
